Podiatry

This treatment is ideal for regular foot care and will keep your feet looking and feeling happy. These treatments must be at least 3 months apart to qualify as regular foot care.

At this appointment nails will be cut cleared and filed, hard skin, callous and corns will be treated and skin buffed smooth. Foot care advice is given and foot care products applied to complete the treatment.

Our diabetic podiatrist, exhibits expertise during our diabetic neuro-vascular assessments which will enable the patients to make more informed choices about their ongoing foot health. Including regular foot care advice, treatments and orthoses.


Nail Surgery Clinic

Nail surgery is the permanent surgical solution to recurring ingrown toenails. This minor surgical procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic. The hyaluronic acid dermal filler is injected under local anaesthetic for a pain free procedure and the resulting persistent corns have lasting results of up to 18months before a top up is required.


Musculoskeletal Clinic

This appointment examines the lower limb, assessing ranges of motion, highlighting pain or injuries and abnormalities during gait in everyday activities. This assessment can result in prescribed orthoses, patient education and may include stretching exercises to improve function and mobility and limit further reoccurrence of injuries.


Lunula Laser - Fungal Nail Clinic

Gerardette graduated from University of Wales in Cardiff in podiatric medicine in 2001. Once qualified she worked for Scholl Foot Care in Plymouth and became regional auditor for the south west. A further post to train new podiatrists to the company in 2004 gave her the opportunity to influence new graduates in their chosen career. In addition she was a bank podiatrist to the Exeter Nuffield Hospital for biomechanic patients.

She established Happy Feet Podiatry Services in 2008, her practise thrives due to her passion and enthusiasm for caring for her patients and offering the most innovative treatments available.
